Mend Rover 75 W Reg Not

rover 75 w reg should i flush or not ?

i have been advised to flush the engine in an atempt to clean hydrolic tappets in an atempt to stop topend rattle which seems to have started after car stalling whilst being driven through a fludded ford. car has over 100,000 on the clock . TO FLUSH OR NOT TO FLUSH????
