Mend Water Switched Fixed

Shower head letting out water after shower switched off?

Recently had a new fixed head shower fitted but about a minute or so after it is switched off it releases a substantial amount of water which has apparently collected in it. It does not leak otherwise or in between. Can this be stopped and, if so, how?
