my sunvic select 207xl has power going to it but it wont turn on ?

I too have the backlight on and no display or control - have ordered the replacement xls version from the web today and will attempt to disect the original tonight. Anyone had any success with getting these darned things working again?

we are also in a 3 yr george wimpey house and have had nothing but problems with the central heating system. had the boiler rebuilt(couldnt possibly replace it!!) had the sunvic select 207xl replaced as making buzzing noises and now have only the backlight on it. sounds like from other comments i shall just replace it myself!!

had a sunvic 207xl back light working but no led reading and no power on.got another exactly the same lasted 2 months then started to buzz then stopped working.will change to a different make as there must be ab inherent problem with this model.

I have the same problem with 207xl in a 3 year old George Wimpey House. The heating broke first, then the hot water. The display has gone, yet there is power going to it. When the unit went completely there was a burning smell. Am now waiting for a replacement to be fitted

Mine has just gone too! I guess you have a backlit display, but with nothing on it?

Sunvic now do a 207 xls to replace the 207 xl due to some problems. Haven't managed to find out what the problems with the xl were in order for them to replace it....!
