Mend Hotpoint WD420 Buttons Flashing Aquarius

Why do certain buttons keep flashing?

I recently bought a Hotpoint Aquarius WD420. It worked fine until tonight when the on/off button started rapidly flashing and the drying high heat button start flashing slowly too. It is extremely annoying as the manual doesn't say anything about this. Any ideas??

the thermostate wire was not connected properly on mine i just noticed it cause of the plug use to hold the wire it could just be a dry connection some where. ps dont disconect the element in your drier it give no reading sorry

same as me is your drier working. is the machine spinning fully. disconnct the drier (take a note or picture on your phone) and try a normal spin (full) if it goes ok then your drier is goosed remeber turn it off at the mains. the lights are an error code that us repair guys are trying to crack as it has no digital display
