Mend Ryobi 790R Clutch Replace Trimmer

Ryobi 790R remove clutch and replace starter cord?

The started cord broke on my Ryobi 790R trimmer. I removed the drive shaft from the engine but an unable to remove the clutch assembly to get to the starter cord pulley. What is the trick to get the clutch assembly off?
