Mend Kenmore Ultra Wash Light

Kenmore Ultra Wash - Clean light flashing - Solution?

This has come up in a number of questions. A flashing Clean light can mean that the water is too cold, which over-taxes the heater. The solution is to run the water in the sink until hot BEFORE turning on the dishwasher.

To clear the flashing light, hit 'heated dry', 'normal wash', then 'heated dry' and 'normal wash' again. All the lights will light up. Hit cancel.

That will clear the error code until the next use. remove the kick plate on the bottom of your unit and you will find a technicians troubleshooting booklet that explains in detail what the flashing lights stand for and how to solve the problem.
