How do I change the tap washer on a Bristan 1901 bath filler mixer tap? I have done the obvious, removed the cap, unscrewed the top and the first nut. Now all I can see is a white sealing ring and a larger nut which won't budge and seems to be fixed in place. Please help. The water is pouring out when I turn the stopcock back on!
