Lines on grass after cutting(Qualcast 35s)?

Sounds like you have the front roller set too low and the edges of the side plates are digging in to the grass.
Most people believe that a well striped manicured lawn is obtained by cutting shorter which is not so.
Raise the height adjustment by as much as half an inch and you should see a big difference.
By the way I have a suffolk punch 35s over 20 yrs old and it cuts my lawns with nice stripes on a higher setting.
