Central Heating Pump is not always swithing off?

Thanks for the pointer - I will have a look at the thermostat. I assume it is the boiler stat and not the Hot water stat you are referring too?

the system may have a pump over-run thermostat built in, some glow worm boilers do. it should stop the pump after a few minutes once the boiler has cooled down enough to prevent overheating. if it's staying on for more than 5 minutes i'd guess that the thermostat may need replaced.
