Mend Durabrand DC11481 DVD Intermittent Disc

How do I stop my dvd from intermittent playing?

I have inherited a TV/DVD Make Durabrand. Model DC11481. The TV is fine but the DVD player starts playing a disc but then stops and starts pretty much at the same spots. It is not the fault of Disc as it happens to each one I try. Is there a manual I can obtain?
