i have a Advent 4211-c netbook with webcam and mic but it has never worked ?

Hullo all i bought a Advent 4211-c netbook deadsound but the webcam and mic has never worked i cant find any mention of it in my netbook can anyone help please im desperate i need to comunicate via webcam with my kidds in South Africa

your help will be greatly appreciated
