What year is the car and has it been serviced?
Might just need the throttle body and idle control stripped and cleaned.
If the engine management light is on it means the system has detected a fault and stored the relevant code.
You have to get the car plugged in to a code reader/ diagnostic computer then tell us what the codes are.
Shop around, should cost no more than £30 for a basic code read.
There is no point fitting new parts at random, it'll cost you a fortune and drive you mad.
Incidentally, the egr can often be stripped and cleaned, a good quality new one should cost about £90 and takes 10 minutes to fit.
