err message on chevy tahoe, continual wizzing noise every 5 seconds?

Our car stereo was working fine, one day the lights flickered and when the cd popped out the err message lit and it has a continual wizzing noise about every 5 seconds, even when the car is turned off. It caused my battery to run down because it seems to be stuck in this continual mode? help!
