ZANUSSI WJD 1667 W Washer Dryer Not Drying E20 Error Message?

I have a ZANUSSI WJD 1667W washer dryer but it does not dry clothes. I get the E20 error message about 2 minutes into the drying time.

I have checked the filter and cleaned it, and checked the sink drain to make sure that it is not something simple. The machine washes well and has just had a new pump fitted.

I think that there may be a blockage somewhere within the machine, but I am running out of ideas. Are there any other filters inside the machine or do you think this is a componant change and if so which one.

All help appreciated

Didn't have an E20 and both the pump and dryer fan were in good working order. On ispection I found the two cables to the sensor at the bottom of the condenser rubber hose detached. After resoldering cables to the connector the dryer is now working again.

your problem is inside the machine . when you take the back off you will see a large white/see through plastic flat square pipe that needs cleaning out , it will be full of fluff . i do ours every 3-4 months otaa habbit now

Thanks for your reply. I took the condenser out and cleaned it out. It was full of fluff and other nasty looking stuff. Had to take it out through the bottom of the machine as back is spot welded to the sides.

Unfortunatly I am still getting the E20 message when I tumble dry. Any other thoughts.

Can you hear the pump trying to drain it when you start a cycle? If not it needs a new pump.

Is there a block in the drainage pipe (blow down it and see if it bubbles in the filter compartment). Or a block in the drain - try pouring some water down in.

Otherwise, I had the same problem (an E20 but a clean filter, no blockage and working pump) and it turned out the condenser (a large plastic vessel) or the right side of the machie (you have to take the whole back off) was full of fluff. The engineer just used a wire hanger and ran it under water to clean it out.

If you've found that it hasn't been drying the clothes fully recently that could well be the problem.
