Broken washer?

We have a Beko WMA765S washing machine, 7 kilo, 1600 spin, electronic type. The display shows only partial numbers, and the machine does not respond to any commands.
The local agent tried a new display, and the main pcb was replaced, but we only got another fault.
It is getting power, and has been temperamental in the past, repeating without being assked to.
Any suggestions? It just bugs me that it is cosmetically perfect, but won't work for a trivial electronic glitch.
