firmwear HELP..PLEASE?

mick am in liverpool got the 9pin thing tryed to do it last night (from yahoo fta group) but cant seem to get the firmwear on my box any ideas whould be welcome ..thanks steven

hi steven, yes you can flash" that make of box , but i wont waste your time by telling you how just yet , need to know if your in the uk or ireland first? because the file for starview, wont work in ireland, the next thing is , if you look at the back of the box , you will see a port marked (rs232) now you need the very same port on your pc/labtop. , to link up the box to the pc via a cable" older pc/laptop have this port, its a 9pin female port, ,so the lead you need is a 9pin male to male port, one end goes into the box and the other goes into the pc. and themn you send the file from the pc to the box , , so get back to me with some more info , and ill try help you, mick 15 aug 10.58 am

what make is that box? and is their firmwear out there for it? if you give me the name of that box i might be able to help you ...
