How can I fix my Zanussi 1450 washer?

My washer washes ok and goes through all the cycles as normal till its time for the spin, wether its the fast or slow spin, the dial stays on the letter (either Q or H) for the duration of the spin (without actually spinning) then finishes cycle, the water does not pour out when I open the door but clothes still soaked
