you just need a new diaphragm in the diverter valve, part £20 at most, easy to fit, but still a job for a qualified engineer.

Its the hot water head on the diverter valve, cost about £ 70 and the same to fit, can only be fitted by law by a Gas Safe Registered installer. jon
