Qualcast suffolk Punch wont start 7/8/2009?

I am having trouble starting my Qualcast Suffolk Punch 14sk after storing it over the winter period.

The mover is less than a year old (bought last autumn).

I have put fresh fuel, cleaned the air filter and checked the spark plug. Everything seems to be in order.

I think there is a fuel blockage somewhere because when I pull the cord to start the engine no fuel is getting through to the engine. The spark plug is bone try even after pulling the cord several times.

There is fuel in the carburettor because I can drain it but it seems to get stuck there and doesn’t get through to the main engine.

Do you have any advice for me?

If the machine is only a couple of years old it wont have contact breaker points...it could only need a new sparking plug so get one, connect it and lay it against a metal part of the engine to check for a spark. Its a good idea to remove the cut off wire near the carburettor too when you are doing your tests.
