how can I unlock my emachine monitor ?

it just suddenly got darker, and won't let me get in to adjust the color and so on? what can I do to fix this...........I can't do see well enough to do anything. Please help me!! Emachine refuses to help me because I don't have the extended warrenty...........thanks
