Mend Ideal Mexico Super Boiler Central Heating Flue

Ideal Mexico, floor standing balanced flue boiler takes few goes to ignite ?

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong with my Ideal Mexico Super, Floor Standing Balanced Flue boiler? It takes a few goes to fire-up. It does this with the hot water and central heating. It does get there eventually, but takes a while.

Yes Estelle, your boiler needs servicing.

The electrode may not be producing a strong enough spark, the pilot may need cleaned, or the spark gap may be too large. Get a qualified engineer to have a look.
