does anybody know where the fuse is located on the excellence 7.5 smartdriv?

Thank you very much LANZ - how strange to to do this with the pump - my guess it's to save the cost of a component in the PSU but then again, most of my guesses are wrong!

If the pump is open circuit, has the thermal cut out tripped? This should reset within 15 minutes after tripping once the pump has cooled down. If the thermal cut out has tripped, check for a blocked pump.
Don't know exactly how they achieve it but they do. I don't really care. I just follow the advice given & do the best I can to give people on this site as much help as possible. That means giving them all the options to check where appropriate.

Now look Lincoln Appliance - I accept that you know 100% about domestic appliances and I only know - point 000001% but.... How can the drain pump be part of the power supply ? - not even Heath Robinson could accomplish a design so bizarre. A DC supply that includes a Drain Pump as a key component - fantastic engineering.

There are 2 fuses soldered on to the main PCB controller. If one has blown there will be a reason for it as they don't usually blow for no reason. If you have no power to the display lights, first check the drain pump. This is part of the power supply to the display.
