Mend Lunar Moonlight Caravan Please Help

1st Caravan and I've found terrible damp!!! PLEASE HELP!?

Just bought our first caravan (Lunar Moonlight, from a friend of a friend) only cheap... BUT just as I was cleaning it I noticed that all the wall opposite the door is damp - to the point of the wood looks like grated cheese when I pulled the wallpaper like stuff off! -It's the wall with the fridge and cooker on. What am I going to do!!?!?!? Please, please please need some advice! I have a man who is willing to help just don't know what to do. Have also checked the ceiling and 1/4 of that is damp too. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

The damp is from the outside, coming in through the seams where the mastic has pulled away with age. From what you say, and given that you got the van cheap, I'd throw it away and start again. Alternatively, (no, not that I'd do it), you could take off the outside, having removed the staples, remove all of the damaged woodwork, ditto the roof, and rebuild.
