How do I fix a faulty Creda 42257 ceramic hob?

One of the 4 elements, the 1.8KW Solarspeed Halogen element does not work. I can purchase a new one but any ideas as to how to remove the old one and fit the new one?

The appliance is a Creda ceramic hob, model 42257.
