how can i replace rear brake pads on renault scenic 1.6 dynamique 53 plate?

i need to know how to replace the rear brake pads on my renault scenic 1.6 dynamique on a 53 plate,i have been told because of the electric handbrake it has to go to a renault dealer,is this correct

apparently mr clutch can do it, I think it is is done by turning on the ignition to release the hand break!
