Jack car.
Remove Wheel.
Remove split pin from hub castle nut.
Knock centre boss from wheel and put wheel back on.
Lower weight of car onto wheel.
Use heavy duty breaker bar and 30mm socket to remove castle nut.
Jack car and remove wheel again.
Disconnect lower ball joint (may need splitter or lever).
Turn steering to full lock and remove splined shaft of CV joint from hub.
Remove gaiter from CV joint and clean out grease.
Find circlip and stretch open while pulling on shaft to remove joint.
Grease and assemble new joint installing new circlip.
Fit new gaiter first then push on joint overcoming clip spring.
Assemble CV boot with CV bands to hold boot securely on joint (very important otherwise MOT fail).
Insert new shaft into hub bearing, securing with new castle nut (torque to very tight, slacken, then finger tight, then 90 deg more)
Assemble ball joint.
Fit new split pin in castle nut.
Fit wheel, and test.
