Mend Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 Fuel

Vauxhall corsa 1.4 2007 fuel gauge faulty, how can I fix it?

My fuel gauge reads in the ignition off position three quarters of a tank of fuel. Switch the ignition on and the needle moves down to the six o'clock position. I think from viewing this new fault that the gauge is still registering fuel in the tank but is now reading 120 degrees out on the gauge
