help please!!?

I have been trying to set up the global closure feature on my focus, i have been told to push up and down on the window buttons for 3 seconds on each side and that will do it but i have tried this 100 times, with the ignition on and off but with no joy! its now driving me mad!! any one know the proper way to set this up>?? any advise greatfully recieved!. cheers.
