Indeed they are....perhaps its the breaker in the fuse box that has tripped? As far as I know, there still isn't an internal fuse in washing machines.....!

In the plug that goes into the wall....either take the back off the plug if there are screws, or prise the fuse holder out if there aren't...replace with a brown 13 amp fuse.
