LCD display not working on bosch logixx 1600 express washing machine?

its a common fault. The cure is to fit a new lcd screen. Unfortunately they are over £100 plus labour. So not worth it unless you are irrevocably attached to that model.

I also have a bosch with a failed lcd display, not sure which model, also if you read the small print its not covered by their extended warranty so wonder if it is a common problem. I have to guess when trying to use the advance timer! Mine has a dial for programmes on so thats not such a problem, but dont know when they will end either, would like to know how much costs for replacement part and labour? Mine also needs a new door seal. Which makes me think it would be cheaper to replace. Anyone know?
