PRIMARY BELT TO LOOSE?

HELLO, I HAVE A MURRAY LAWN TRACTOR MODEL 465602X8D AND THE PRIMARY BELT CAME OFF. I REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE 37X89, THE PART IT THE RIGHT PART BUT ITS TO LOOSE AND THERE NO ADJUSTMENT, THE PULLYS SEEMS OK. WHEN ENGAGING THE BLADES THE BELT MAKES A NOISE AND COMES OFF OR IT BINDS UP. ANY FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM?
