tank to carb fuel line ?

My fuel line deterierated and I am trying to find out the best way to run the line from the filter inside the tank to the carb. It is very hard to put the fuel line onto the filter end inside the tank. And the line has to go all the way tight against the filter or it will leak gas. Does anyone have a good idea for this?

I am replacing mine today. I think the lines run from the top of the carburetor to the tank for the filter line. From the bottom of the carburetor to the inside (short) port of the primer bulb. From the outside port (long) of the primer bulb to the tank.
