Mend DeWalt 18V Dewalt Drill Repair

WHICH WAY DO I TURN THE CHUCK TO REMOVE ON MY DEWALT HAMMER/DRILL?

HAVE 1 DEWALT 18V WITH STUCK CHUCK OPEN AND HAVE 1 DEWALT 18V WITH SMOKIN BRUSHES. DEWALT WANTS $99 TO REPAIR ANY MESSED UP DRILL. I WANT TO TAKE THE GOOD CHUCK AND PUT IT ON THE GOOD DRILL AND SEND IN THE SMOKIN CHUCK STUCK DRILL IN. THE CHUCK SCREW CAME OUT COUNTER CLOCK WISE. WHICK WAY DOES THECHUCK COME OUT WITHOUT BREAKING THE TRANSMISSION?
