Mend Zanussi Door Model Locked

Zanussi Dishwasher door model dsw919?

The door catch on the above model is locked in the closed position, ie, as if the door was closed and locked. The micro switch works fine and switches the machine off when pressed but the catch remains in the locked position. How can I release the catch so that the door will function normally again?

Thanks ck. I think thats the second time youve helped me in 2 days. Many many thanks. Door is now fixed, but having problems again with no water in system. They say 3rd time is a charm. Can you help. ? Cheers.

make a hooked piece of metal and hook the plastic latch bit you can see through the hole in the stainless door and pull it back to reset it.common issue.simple to repair.if it has broken then a new latch will be required.
