FL code on Kenmore Elite?

I just fixed mine: yours might be the same. The instruction manual indicates that when the FL code appears, the pump will cycle on for 30 sec, then off for 30 sec, then back on over and over. Mine did this, but there was no drainage. My genius wife wondered whether a baby sock had plugged the drain. To access the pump you have to take the bottom panel off, so thus you must drain all the water (this is a pain and never complete-- I used a syphon but a sponge or many hundreds of towells would do) and then tip the washer onto its back. Take the bottom panel off (three small hex head screws) and you'll see the pump on the right. I took off each hose and explored the pump with my fingers. Voilla!! not baby sock but a thin pair of panties clogged the pump. It now seems to work fine.
