ford mondeo air con?

hi ive got a 2001 mondeo ghia . the air con works when it feels like it . just had it re-gased and checked for leaks all fine was told it didnt need doing . the light comes on in car when pushed you can also hear the fan kick in when button is pushed and you feel it blow stronger through vents but its warm every now and then it will work fine can you help thanks paul
