Rotary Temperature dial not working?

The rotary temperature dial on my Westinghouse Freestyle 688 oven is not working properly. It goes around the dial without turnibg off properly and you don't know what temperature is set. Can this be fixed and, if not, what is the approximate cost of a replacement dial and what is involved in replacing it?
