I replaced the bearings on my machine over the week end and after putting it all together I find that
a) as soon as I switch on power to the machine, even before I select a wash programme, the door lock is activated and it will only release the door lock after I switch off power at the wall and wait around a minute.
b) the machine will not spin at the end od the wash cycle. I even tried a spin only cycle with the drum empty and the machine rotates the drum forward and back but stops without spinning after a few minutes of trying. I am not sure if the machine spins during the wash cycle. I've only noticed that it does not spin at the end of a wash.
As I was working single handed I managed to damage a capacitor on the main circuit board so it is possible the I may have done further damage in other places. The problem with the door lock was there even before I replace the damaged capacitor. Naturally I only noticed the lask of spin after I repaired the circuti board and got the machine into full operation.
Also could you please tell me what the drum like object mounted on the body of the machine behind the cetergent dispenser housing is? this has tfour wires going to it and has a thin tube leading from it to a narrow nylon container attached to the hose leading to the waste water expeller motor? Does this control the spin when the drum is out of balance?
Not sure but check the pressure switch (it sounds like this may be the object you describe) check with a meter by blowing into it where the tube goes for switching action with the machine isolated and checking continuity.
If this is activated it will not spin as it thinks water is in it.
