drive belt vivacity?

I think I know what you mean by 'won't tightened up'? If the front & rear pulleys are not taking up the slack in the belt then it's probably worn & stretched & needs to be replaced. If you think the belt is ok then you may have a problem with the front pulley & the rollers inside the housing (variator) may need replacing. only way to know for sure is to take off the drivebelt casing & examine the belt & rollers, if they're banjoed then fit new ones.
