Mend Potterton 100E Boiler Heating Circuit Board

potterton 100e driving me mad!?

we have a potterton 100 e - now 8 years old
we are totally doomed to have no hot water to wash or heating.we took out one of these insurance policies, but i am totally convinced that this type of engineer should have been left behind with the last ice age!
They have replaced curuit boards golare add infinitum,
the wax therman unit.

This fix usually lasts 8 hours and then lockout time once again.
i have had the whole system drained and cleaned out at a cost of £400-- but it still doesnt work.......Help!!!!

when a boiler gos to lock out it mean the it did firer in it 15 seconds, i would look to see it sparking, if yes then i would look at gas valve, hope this help you

I have a Potterton Profile 100e last made 2001...

You do not say what is wrong with what - i.e after the 8 or so hours working what happens when the boiler is asked to fire up - does the fan run? Does the pilot light come on? What do you mean by "lock-out"? What is a "wax therman unit"

Can you make hot water with your hot water tank immersion heater - or is it another type of Potterton 100e and not a Profile model?

Who is providing the service - not British Gas I'm sure - they usually ask £600 for a clean and flush.
