JCB Grass Strimmer Model M 25 serial 05 Family M25 AO1?

Primes alright, Runs for about 4 to 6 mins and then sputters to a stop. The machine has only been used 5 times from new. I have had in depth experience of motor bikes and cars,But no information available from JCB which I am quite astounded by to say the least.
I always assumed that if one sold something even if it was manfactured in some far off land you had the legal responsibility to offer the customer service arrangments
