changing rear wheel on ford ka?

Just attempted to change the spare wheel on ford ka, appears to be some sort of boss in centre. Even when all nuts removed wheel won't come off. Can you help please.

is it an alloy wheel? they corrode onto steel hub. put one nut back on slightly and whack back of tyre with hammer. should come unstuck after a while.
