Mend Landxcape Working Battery Couple

Relatively new cordless Landxcape hedge cutter not working?

Have not used it for over a year. Charged the battery for a couple of hours and tried operating it but there seems no sign of life.

Could it be that the battery is not charging. How to check?

If the battery was put away discharged at the end of last season, the chances are that it is useless now. Use a multimeter across the terminals to check, or failing that a car lamp bulb will do.
