Merc Sprinter turbo?

Hello. The turbo on my mec sprinter cuts out when driving. If you turn the ignition off then on it kicks back in. Any ideas ?

hi, if its cutting out and makes a whistling sound like it wants to go but will not go, its the valve in the back part of the turbo that gets jammed and can't close to hold the boost preasure, I have had this problem but the only way of fixing it is to replace the turbo.

common fault on the sprinters is that of a break in the loom that goes from the bulk head thru to the engine bay, its wire 45, and 53 or 55 from the ecu, multi meter, check for continuity between the 3 wires and rectify if required if there is no continuity. The break occurs at the bulk head, hope it may help you. williamsdiesels.com...... a help not a hinder
