I have a Stayer SC271 and have a wood burning smell?
When using my saw I get bad a wood burning smell. I have only used the saw say 12 times since purchase. Could it be the blade or something else. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi there don't suppose you have got an offcut of timber gone up the back of the bladeguard as that happend to mine once. Cheers Ash.

Sounds like blade isn`t cutting thru the wood more than its burning thru the wood ......get a fresh new blade ......proably how they sold it for cheap with a cheap blade ...had same problem here ...also when cutting wood be sure to set blade at right depth so that sides of blade are touching wood slowing down the motor
