Mend Renault Megane Air Light

renault megane air conditioning?

air conditioning just stopped working. the light on the heater panel shows off/on as a/c is turned off/on. fan and heater work ok. there is no power to the magnetic clutch on the a/c compressor. haynes manual says there is an a/c control unit but not where and the wiring diagram is not for a 52 reg (might not even be for a renault) haynes say don't touch, but if it is electrical side, it must be fixable

I have the same problem as no:1 thanks for the answer, could you please confirm that this is for the megane 9999 (T) - 2002 (52) model & not for the new shape (52) & later.

Hi Mark,
The supply for the compressor clutch comes from pins 14 & 15 of the A/C control unit through the tripple pressure switch then to the clutch, the A/C control unit is behind the dash on the (UK) passenger side
