beko 6kg ,wma 665w?

my beko washing machine has been trouble free since new purchase 2 yrs ago;however today it has decided to not spin;i can hear the pump run,but nothing else;the 1st we noticed was when the door wouldnt open,as if it thought it was in spin mode;im fairly clued up,as im an electrician by trade;ive removed the belt to see if it was loading the motor,but the motor wont even run in the spin mode;could this be the controller?thanks,dave
