I have a F displayed on the dash of my mercedes a class and the gears have no power what is wrong

I believe the engine electronics may have a fault and the system has gone to a "limp home mode" You will need to get vehicle to M Benz Dealer or MB specialists to get engine management system checked for fault and reset.
