bad starting mondeo?

Does the lower cable on the fuel pump move?

If not, the waxstat is probally not working. Its 100's at Ford, so try a scrapyard and dont pay over a tenner for it.

Also try www.fordmondeo.org for more help as this is a common occurance amoung the early TD's.

Try double glowing.
- Turn key until glow plug light goes out.
- Turn off and repeat
- Now start.

My waxstat doesnt work, but my car always fires up with double glowing and some throttle. A service may help.
