REMOVE A STAIR LIFT CHAIR AND TRACK?

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO REMOVE A STAIR LIFT CHAIR FROM THE TRACK ON WHICH IT RIDES and the the track from the stairway. My son brought a house and it were left in place.CAN THE TRACK BE REMOVE IN TWO PARTS IT 13' LONG.THIS IS A STANNAH MODEL 420 STRAIGHT TRACK, THANK YOU.

You will have to take it off the top of the track. Is it still in working condition? If not, you will have to use the manual winder to wind it up. You will have to remove the mechanical stop at the top to do that.
